Hello there! I’m Elle, a registered dietitian turned freelance recipe creator, writer, photographer and blogger, living life with my two boys in beautiful Bend, Oregon.
I started this little blog back in 2010 while pursuing my master’s degree in nutrition in lovely Chapel Hill, North Carolina. To be honest, I never expected it to be much more than my own personal creative space but with time, this little blog grew. Since becoming a mama last November, I’ve given a lot of thought to how I spend my time, what I want to devote my energy to, what matters and what doesn’t. Ultimately I decided I wanted two things: to be able to spend more time with our little guy and to do more of what I love — recipe creation, writing, photography and blogging. I thought, if I could do all of those things, I would in a heartbeat. It was a tough decision to make since I had to say farewell to a once-in-a-lifetime kinda job, the best teammates a gal could ask for and a six-figure salary – but one day the hubs and I knew it was the right time.
So, here I am: writer, photographer, recipe creator and blogger. And here you are. Welcome!
Let’s get better acquainted, shall we? Here’s a brief intro to the kinda things you’ll find on ATE as well as a few personal tidbits, more on my career path, food philosophy and even a few confessions. I hope you’ll pull up a latte and stay a while. Thanks for reading!
