Ever since moving into our apartment last March I’ve been hunting for the perfect bar cart. A gold one. With wheels, so I can push it from one side of our dining room to another. Glass or mirrored it makes no matter to me. I’ve actually fallen in love with quite a few––but if you’ve ever shopped for a bar cart yourself you know the really beautiful ones aren’t cheap.
Ironically, the thought of shelling out over a thousand dollars for a decorative piece of furniture that frequently needs to be dusted leaves me needing a strong drink.
Thankfully I found an inexpensive back-up while my search for the perfect, affordable bar cart continues. I recently stumbled upon this gorgeous mirrored tray––at World Market of all places.
Between the rustic gold finish and the mirror base, I instantly saw it had glam potential––just what our somewhat manly dining room was missing. More on that to come, but for thirty dollars, I couldn’t get it into our apartment fast enough.
Most mirrored mini bar trays are the perfect size for two or three bottles, a couple of decorative rocks glasses, a classic cocktail shaker and a fancy jigger, which is actually perfect if you’re entertaining for a small group.
I know eventually I’ll find a perfect bar cart in my budget that checks all the boxes but in the meantime, this glitzy, mirrored mini bar tray is definitely filling the void.
If you’re holding out for your dream bar cart too, here are 5 beauties to check out:
1. West Elm ($89) // 2. Williams Sonoma ($150) // 3. Z Gallerie ($100) // 4. World Market ($30) // 5. Anthropologie ($148)
PS. My dear friend Andrea got us those adorable Mr. & Mrs. cocktail glasses for our wedding. How cute?
What a fantastic find! This glamorous mirrored minibar is a chic and budget-friendly alternative to the pricey bar carts out there. Cheers to stylish decor on a dime!
Loving this example! I’ve been wanting to set-up a little area in my apartment for it but it’s a tad too small…maybe in our next space!
Love this! Sweetest! Can’t wait to see you soon!
It’s a beautiful tray, and I hope you find the perfect piece soon! My bar station is a book shelf that’s become overstocked because of a couple parties we’ve had recently. I always look forward to Friday so I can attempt to make a dent in our mayhem=) Enjoy your weekend!

I love your bar tray and how you displayed it! Very retro cool. I have a mirrored coffee table, and I love the light effect.
Adorable tray! I love the idea of just doing a tray like this. I go back and forth between wanting a bar cart for our dining room… mostly because I worry about space, not because they aren’t beautiful. I saw this one at Target the other day, not sure if this is close to what you had in mind. http://www.target.com/p/threshold-wood-and-brass-finish-bar-cart/-/A-14556506
I too am on the hunt for the perfect bar. It’s not easy, you end up picturing something in your head and thinking that it should be a piece of cake. I love the mirrored tray you picked up! So chic. I recently saw a bar cart on wheels at Target. I can’t remember the color, but I’ve seen so many tutorials on Pinterest on painting anything and everything metallic.
Good luck! Oh, and I loooove the site rebranding :)
i love the ones you got..
Ooooh, I love all of these! I actually have a similar one (almost identical) to #1 but I found it at Target last spring :) It’s currently in my bathroom but once I have room for an actual bar, it’s relocating ;)
