14 best vegan & vegetarian protein sources

Mint pea pesto linguine

Gosh, girls! Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments, emails and tweets. In order to move on, part of me needed to get what happened last week off my chest. Your kindness and support helped that process immensely. I’m feeling much better about things and my positive outlook has, for the most part, returned. Especially now that it’s Friday. Tonight the hubs and I have a grilled cheese dinner date and I have a low-key weekend planned involving a DIY jewelry board and creating one or two new recipes! To top it off, one of my very best friends is coming to visit for a week on Monday. Things are really looking up. :)

Today’s post is short and sweet because I spent last night working on a blog editorial calendar for August and September. I needed a better way to organize my ideas. So many posts just haven’t been written because I haven’t taken the time to organize the writing and photographing they entail. After researching a ton of options for our new editorial calendar at work, I’ve decided to use Google Calendar for my personal blog. I recently discovered the wonderfulness of Google Apps and, seeing as I now access my blog email through Google, it just made sense to use their calendar too.

Before I go I just want to share this article on Health that I had the opportunity to help with, the 14 Best Vegan and Vegetarian Protein Sources. In it I mention one of my most favorite dishes to date, Mint Pea Pesto Linguine, a perfect, protein-packed dish for pasta lovers. Give it or one of the article’s other recommendations a try this weekend!

  • I go back and forth between having a calendar on paper vs. just keeping post ideas in my head. However, things usually work out much better when I take the time to plan out posts. Thanks for that little reminder. I’ve been wanting to get back to a calendar for some time now.

    • I’ve done the same! I’ve found it helpful to write ideas down but need an actual monthly calendar to get me to commit to writing those posts.

  • Thanks so much for sharing! I am have never been a huge meat eater (just don’t like the taste) and am always looking for new recipes incorporating plant protein.

  • I am definitely a paper editorial calendar girl, I like the flexibility and truthfully I just have way too many google calendars in my life so I would probably ignore a blog one. The plight of the busy woman!
