Miz Mooz Ankle Boots – similar styleJ.Crew Chambray and Enamel Bracelet, H&M Dress, Botkier Satchel – similar style, Ray Ban Sunglasses

Pulled some oldies but goodies out of the closest for an impromptu dinner date with the hubs last weekend. I absolutely adore my ankle cowboy boots but admit, being 5′ 4″ it’s always a challenge to work them into outfits that don’t make my legs look shorter than they already are. This weekend I paired them with a long black, racerback maxi and knotted chambray – the maxi to elongate, chambray to accentuate my waist and pull together the Western look. I threw on some fun bangles, grabbed my favorite black leather bag and the hubs and I hopped the subway downtown to explore the streets of North Beach before dinner. Definitely a new summertime outfit fav. Happy Friday!

  • I wore mine on a long flight this spring with black leggings and denim shorts, white tee and a lightweight scarf. I tried them with black skinny jeans but just didn’t love the look in the end so I’m going to stick with leggings and skirts I think.

  • Love the look of this outfit. This will be my style inspiration because my height is also 5’4″ and just bought ankle boots

  • Looking city chic! And just enough coverage for the San Francisco chill (which the rest of the country probably wishes it had right now)

  • You’re adorable! In the spring I wore the long black maxi/JCrew knotted chambray to school {I’m a teacher}. It was comfortable and I wasn’t freezing in the AC. Love the addition of the boots though…

    • It’s so easy to pull together – slash totally saw another girl rocking long black maxi and chambray with flip flops the same afternoon. We totally checked each other out and smiled as we passed each other. Clearly I wasn’t the only one who loved this outfit ;)
