In honor of Memorial Day, I thought I’d put together a quick fashion post to welcome back the white t-shirt. In all honesty, I wear white tees year round but I’m sure somewhere along the line you learned the supposed rules against wearing white before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, too. Whether or not you rock white in the off-season, it’s officially back in season so I came up with my 5 favorite ways to wear a white tee.
1. Cream blazer & navy pants
2. Pencil skirt
3. High-waisted maxi skirt
4. Brightly colored, high-waisted pants
5. Short shorts, heels & statement handbag
Also, I’ve found a new favorite brand and thought I’d share the love. For years J. Crew has held the crown of the perfect tee but Gap Body has quite possibly one-upped them with these babies.
I still love J. Crew tees but, let’s face it, Gap just has better sales. It’s loose-fitting, perfectly slouchy and lightweight. I loved mine so much I now own it in not one but FIVE colors, including white. I know it’s late notice but Gap’s having a Memorial Day sale and are offering an extra 15% off of everything with the code: GAPGROOVE. (and that, friends, is why I went from owning 1 color to 5.)
Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
